Welcome! My name is Madisson.
I am a 26-year-old pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist dedicated to advancing accessibility, inclusion, and awareness in both healthcare and the wider community. My mission is to ensure that everyone has the support and resources necessary to thrive and reach their fullest potential.
Though I was born and raised in Alaska, my journey took me through the heartland of Kansas during my adolescent years before I pursued my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Fort Hays State University. Currently, I live in the charming, historic town of Savannah, GA, where I indulge in my love for yoga, trips to the beach, and travels along the East Coast. I happily spend my time with my friends, amazing husband, two cats, and black lab.
In May 2024, my life took an unexpected turn when I began experiencing chronic nerve pain, leading to a diagnosis of syringomyelia, a rare and incurable condition. This challenge has introduced me to a spectrum of emotions and obstacles, particularly in navigating adequate care and representation. Through this blog, I hope to share my journey, raise awareness about chronic pain, and offer support to others facing similar struggles. Join me as I explore resilience and advocate for those living with chronic conditions.
